NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Wheel Rail Seminars will host a standalone Wheel/Rail Interaction conference for Heavy Haul in 2025.

Wheel Rail Seminars and Railway Track and Structures are announcing the redesigned Wheel/Rail Interaction Heavy Haul Conferences for 2025. Previously, the Wheel/Rail Interaction Conference was held as one. Now, to better suit industry needs, the conference will be split into two stand-alone conferences. One will be for Heavy Haul Freight, and the second will be dedicated to Rail Transit.

From June 10-12, 2025, the Wheel/Rail Interaction Heavy Haul Conference will take place in Kansas City, MO. It will examine the challenges, technologies, and practices relating to maintaining and improving the performance of vehicles and track and overall vehicle/track interaction in the freight environment.

The conference will have a redesigned course on Principles of Wheel/Rail interaction that will focus on practical understanding of the science behind fundamental aspects of wheel/rail interaction on freight railroads.

CPKC will be the local host in Kansas City. More information can be found at wheel-rail-seminars.com.
