MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – The Eaglewood bridge and new signalized intersection on the Hazel McCallion Line will open on July 4th. This connects communities on the east and west sides of Hurontario Street.

On July 5th, Inglewood bridge will officially close for a planned demolition now that it is no longer needed, according to Metrolinx. As previously reported by RT&S, the Hazel McCallion Line is a new transit line being built in the Peel Region, and it will be 18-kilometers long. Running along Hurontario Street from Port Credit GO Station to Steeles Avenue in Brampton, the line will include 19 stops.

According to the report, crews have installed close to 40 meters of track for the Line, with 20 meters north and 20 meters south of the bridge. This will give drivers access at the intersection and keep “commuters from a complete closure of the new intersection to install tracks there in the future.”
